The Role

As a Maintenance Technician at BMP, you'll be the reason residents feel at home. No two days look exactly alike and that's the point. You'll move between work orders, unit turns, and preventative maintenance across our portfolio, bringing the kind of quality and care that keeps properties in top shape and residents who want to stay.

This is a full-time, 40-hour/week position with overtime availability. You'll participate in a rotating on-call schedule covering evenings, weekends, and holidays.

What You'll Do

• Complete work orders efficiently and to a high standard of quality from minor repairs to more complex mechanical and systems work

• Turn units between residents, ensuring each home is clean, fully functional, and move-in ready

• Perform routine preventative maintenance to keep properties running smoothly and reduce costly emergency repairs

• Diagnose issues across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and general building systems

• Communicate clearly with Property Managers and residents about work order status and timelines

• Maintain organized records of completed work, parts used, and open items

• Represent BMP professionally in every interaction with residents, vendors, and teammates

What We're Looking For

We'll train the right person. That said, here's what makes a strong candidate stand out:

• General maintenance experience — apartment or property management background is a plus, not a requirement

• Comfortable working at heights and in a variety of physical settings

• Able to lift up to 75 lbs.

• Reliable personal vehicle and your own hand tools

• Self-motivated with strong attention to detail, you notice what others miss and follow through without being asked

• A team player who can also work independently and manage their own time

• Must pass a background check

Bonus Skills We'd Love to See

• Experience with HVAC systems, plumbing, or electrical work

• Bilingual (English/Spanish), helpful but not required
